Maple Spiced Cranberry Sauce
There is something about fruit compote that elevates a slice of meat like turkey or pork to a whole new level. Also if you are a vegetarian, cranberries will compliment most vegetables. The added cinnamon, ginger, and orange zest just gives that piquant taste which will delight your palate!
Making your own cranberry sauce avoids the added preservatives and refined sugar. It is so easy, you'll never buy canned again!
Ingredients
12 oz. cranberries
1 Cup Apple Cider
1/3 Cup Justamere Tree Farm's Maple Syrup
1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/8 Tsp. Freshly Grated Ginger
Orange Zest to taste (optional)
Directions
Place all ingredients in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil.
Simmer and allow berries to pop and mixture to thicken. This should only take about 7-15 minutes.
